The Elective Chapter of MALAWI SFO

Historically we can rightly say that The SFO in MALAWI was initially introduced by The Franciscan Second Order(OSC), The poor Clares of Maula parish in Lilongwe Diocese, The central part of MALAWI. Later on The Capuchin missionaries in Zambia, Fr.Jude OFMCap. was The first Spiritual Asssistant of The SFO in MALAWI. Now there are 9 regional fraternities namely Chikwawa and Blantyre, Zomba, Mangochi, Dedza, Salima,Lilongwe, Mzuzu South, Mzuzu central and Mzuzu North. Capuchins from India gave booster in The new life of The SFO in MALAWI. On 30 October 2008, we had The Elective National Chapter. Bro.George Ng'ambi was elected as National Minister. Theresa Mukatipa was chosen as Internaitonal Counsillor. Lucy presided over The Chapter and I participated from The part of CAS.
