STIGMATA OF ST.FRANCIS OF ASSISI

When Francis of Assisi received the stigmata he got a glimpse into the profound mystery of Christ's death on the cross. Francis saw in a vision his crucified Saviour enveloped by six shining seraph wings -- a manifestation of the fiery intensity of God's love.
